Competition Terms & Conditions “Your Opinion Counts”
The competition is organized by company Lidl Cyprus, hereinafter “organizer”. Participation in the competition is exclusively and only subject to the term cited herein. Participating in the competition entails the unreserved acceptance of the following terms and conditions.
1. Who can participate in the competition?
Any individual residing in Cyprus can participate in the competition on his/her own behalf, if said individual is at least 18 years old and has visited a Lidl Cyprus shop. Participation in the competition is free of charge and independent of the evaluation which has been previously offered.
The employees of all Lidl companies are excluded from participating in the competition.
The competition shall begin on 15.06.2023 at 00:00 hours (Eastern European Time) and will end on 14.02.2024 at 23:59 (EET). (“Entry Period”).
2. How many times can I participate?
Each participant reserves the right of one entry for each monthly draw carried out in the context of repeated monthly draws which will take place on the first working day of the next month on each occasion, beginning on 15/06/2023. Multiple entries or the provision of false information when entering the competition may lead to exclusion of the competition. Participation is each monthly draw is possible up until 23:59 of the last day of the current month on each occasion by clicking on the button “Enter Competition” in the website of Lidl Cyprus. The digitally protocoled time stamped entry point for the entire set of participation data to the system is of paramount importance. It is explicitly clarified that entries which may take place after the end of the competition, or after its extension or shortening, per case applicable, will automatically and as of right be considered void, non-existence, bearing no effect and not binding anyone, while they will grant absolutely no right to the prize.
3. How can I participate in the competition?
A necessary condition for participating in the competition is to participate in the buying experience survey carried out and available on www.lidl.com.cy. After the participant has answered all the questions, he/she must click on the “Enter Competition” button. After the participant has entered his/her personal information in the corresponding forms (cf. relevant point 4 below) and provided he/she correctly answers the question “Which of the following colours is part of the Lidl logo?” A. Black, B. Blue, C. Purple) he/she can thus participate in the competition. By clicking the “Submit” button, the participant confirms the full and unreserved acceptance of all participation terms and conditions.
4. What information is necessary in order to participate?
Besides verifying the acceptance of the competition’s terms & conditions, in order to participate to the competition participants must provide their personal information so that the prize may be send to them in case they win. Each participant is solely and exclusively responsibly for the full and correct completion and submission of his/her information. Incomplete or incorrect or untrue completion of the participant’s information grants the organizer the right to exclude said participant from the competition. The following information must be entered to the electronic participation document:

- Telephone number
5. What happens to my personal information?
In the context and for the purposes of this prize draw, Lidl Cyprus (2, Pigasou St, Aradippou Industrial Zone, CY-7100, Larnaca, Tax ID: CY 30010823A) as data controller within the meaning of Article 4, Nr. 7 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will process the personal data of the participants registered upon submission of their participation in this prize draw exclusively for this purpose. In particular, the Promoter will keep a record of the personal data of the participants and of the winners and/or alternates. The provision of your personal data is necessary to enable your participation in the prize draw under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. Where consent is given in the context of this prize draw, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR is the legal basis for any data processing carried out on the basis of such consent. The recipients of your personal data will in principle only be the authorised personnel of the promoter who are entrusted with tasks related to the conduct of the prize draw. In addition, in the context of such processing and for the purposes of achieving the above purposes, the Promoter may use the services of third parties to whom the personal data of the winners and/or alternates will be communicated. These service providers are carefully selected and contractually bound to the Promoter. Except in these cases, your data will not be transferred to third parties. Your personal data will be kept for as long as strictly necessary for the conduct of the prize draw and will be destroyed and/or deleted after 6 months from the date of dispatch/delivery of the prize to the winners. The winner's name and/or place of residence may be published in the Promoter's printed and electronic promotional media (e.g. press release, website, internal and external social networks of the company). These data are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, where it is a relevant provision in the terms and conditions of participation in a prize draw and Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, as the Promoter has a legitimate interest in promoting and advertising the prize draws it runs. In the event that a photo/video shoot with the winners of the prize draw is to take place, the material produced will be published in the Promoter’s electronic and printed media and/or in third party media cooperating with the Promoter. The Promoter will request your prior consent to this, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Such consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. In accordance with the provisions of Articles 13 to 15 of the GDPR, you, as participant in the prize draw (data subject), have the right to information and the right of access to the personal data concerning you. In addition, subject to the conditions set out therein and other legal requirements, you have the right to rectification pursuant to Article 16 of the GDPR, the right to data erasure pursuant to Article 17 of the GDPR, the right to restriction of processing pursuant to Article 18 of the GDPR, the right to data portability pursuant to Article 20 of the GDPR and the right to object to processing pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with the above legislation. 6. When are winners drawn?
10 winners will be drawn each month from all those participating in the competition and each winner shall receive a €30 coupon/gift card. This gift card may not be used for purchases of tobacco products, pharmaceuticals and baby food products. Winners are chosen by drawing by lot carried out by the organizer in the presence of a lawyer and ensuring random selection, on the 15th day of the next month on each occasion (15/07/2023, 15/08/2023, 15/09/2023,15/10/2023, 15/11/2023, 15/12/2023, 15/01/2024, 15/02/2024). Should the 15th day not be a working day, the drawing deadline shall be extended until the next working day. The winner will then be notified by the customer service department within seven days from the day by means of the e-mail address or telephone number disclosed. The winner’s postal address will be requested of him/her in the context of this communication, in order for the coupon/gift card to be send by registered mail.
In case the winner does not show up within a deadline of 14 days from being notified, he/she forfeits his/her claim on the prize and a substitute winner is selected following the same procedure and under the same terms and conditions. In case where, despite the organizer’s best efforts, it is rendered impossible for the organizer to contact the winner, the organizer bears no liability or responsibility for the award of the prize. Individual coupons are personal, nontransferable and non-inheritable. It is not possible for them to be paid in cash, or be redeemed against other goods or for the coupons to be replaced or exchanged, even in the case they are stolen, lost or altered.
7. Is there anything else I should take into account?
In case where individual terms included in the present terms for participating are or become ineffectual, this fact does not affect the force and effect of the other terms for participating. The organizer reserves the right to amend the participation terms and to definitely or provisionally interrupt the competition on grounds of material reasons which would jeopardize the integrity of the competition, or in case the organizer is so ordered by a public authority.
Moreover, the organizer can void entries in case where the information provided by participants are incomplete, offend the image of the organizer, public morality or fair practice, public decency etc. The organizer bears no liability and cannot be held responsible for technical or other problems outside his sphere of influence. Participants/lucky winners do not thus gain or acquire absolutely any right on the trademarks and other distinctive signs of the organizer. Due process is excluded.
